General Engineer

The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a General Engineer responsible for USCENTCOM Forward Headquarters Facility at AI-Udeid Air Base, Qatar.

Duties

  • Plans, organizes, and oversees all USCENTCOM Forward Headquarters facilities work covering a broad range of facility development, management and accommodation for complex, state of the art C4I facilities, systems, and equipment.
  • Oversees facility management resources including personnel, service contracts, financial programs, space utilization, and information resources.
  • Implements and evaluates programs to manage safety risks, fire safety risks, facility response to emergencies, and to manage risks associated with physical security, hazardous materials, and waste.
  • Represents USCENTCOM with a variety of installation and functional area organizations.
  • Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities.

  • This position is emergency-essential (EE). The incumbent of this position must meet all requirements of E-E positions and may be required as a condition of employment to take a series of vaccinations and annual boosters to immunize against diseases
  • In the event of a crisis situation, the incumbent, or designated alternate, must continue to perform the E-E duties until relieved by proper authority. The incumbent or designated alternate, may be required to take part in readiness exercises.
  • This position cannot be vacated during a national emergency or mobilization without seriously impairing the capability of the organization to function effectively.
  • This meets the criteria of an E-E position and requires the incumbent, or designated alternate, to be removed from any military recall status. Employee must sign DD Form 2365 as a condition of employment.
  • While deployed to an overseas location, the E-E duties require the incumbent to be issued and carry a firearm; operate a government vehicle during specific authorized situations, and to wear a gas mask and chemical protection gear.
  • Incumbent must obtain and maintain firearms qualification. Incumbent is required to wear the approved Department of Defense (DoD)civilian uniform while deployed. Some of CENTCOM’s AOR has been considered “War Zone” hazardous duty.
  • Incumbent must obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance.
  • This position is designated as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force civilian Drug Testing Program. Appointee must sign a statement acknowledging the position occupied is a Testing Designated Position.
  • LAUTENBERG AMENDMENT: This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment of the Gun Control Act of 1968. An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position.
  • Physical – if position does not require a physical BUT hired from CONUS a pre-employment physical IS required
  • This is an “Unaccompanied Tour”. Family housing is not available at this location.

US Air Combat Command Qatar Job Description

The Contingency Quarters activity consists of multiple operations that are local with facilities consisting of multiple desks that is a full-time operations. Maximizes efficient use of assigned rooms containing in excess of 15,000 bed spaces supporting a wide range of permanent party, deployed and transient personnel. Provides routine and on-demand rosters to leadership with details on assigned and vacant rooms to include other pertinent information as necessary to support operational decision making. Receives and confirms reservations by telephone, email, or personal contact. Registers and assigns bed spaces to guest, makes and issues room keys, and may escort guests to rooms as needed. Checks guests into and out of bed spaces. Confirm bed space accountability by validating rooms. Ensures that only authorized patrons use of government quarters. Completes mass check-in and check-out upon arrival of deployers at other locations on the installation as required. Briefs arriving personnel regarding contingency quarters policies and procedures. Coordinates with representatives from other units to assign guests to bed spaces. Maintains current checkout list. Maintains a professional appearance and demeanor at all times. Ensures required information is received from guest or unit representative and entered into guest folio. Saves and/or prints backup reports from property management system to a secure data location. Records and notifies appropriate person or organization of maintenance problems reported by guests. Ensure front desk area and lobby remains clean. Process Night audit procedures nightly. Maintains the lost and found program. Ensures that customer service is the first priority. Performs other related duties as assigned.

SUPPLY TECHNICIAN

Salary : $45,000 – $50,000 per year Pay scale & grade  : NF 3 | few vacancies in the following location :Qatar

Summary

About the position: This position will be assigned to the 379 EFSS Al Udeid, Qatar.

Duties

  • Forecasts, identifies and submits orders for subsistence to the Rations Warehouse using a military computer. Confirms subsistence orders are received by the Rations Warehouse and coordinates date and time for pick-up of subsistence from the Rations Warehouse for delivery to the dining facility.
  • Drives a refrigerated truck from the dining facility to the Rations Warehouse, loads subsistence at the Rations Warehouse on a refrigerated truck using a forklift, and then drives the refrigerated truck to the dining facility and unloads subsistence into the proper storage areas/containers.
  • Drives a refrigerated truck to the main gate to pick up ration deliveries and returns to the Rations Warehouse and unloads the subsistence. Secures and controls subsistence until issued to the production manager on shift. Keeps all storage areas secured and issues out items to the kitchen to ensure security and accountability of subsistence items in the storeroom.
  • Performs physical checks of subsistence storage areas to confirm temperatures are within specified food safety standards as required by food service leadership. Weighs and counts all food received, thawed, issued, or returned to the storeroom. Post vendor item use by dates and subsistence thaw dates.
  • Recommends to dining facility management when assistance is required from the Military Public Health inspector when necessary. Completes AF Form 3S 16 for transfers of subsistence both into and out of the dining facility and/or rations warehouse. Conducts inventories of subsistence as required by food service leadership. Prints and provides Production Logs and menus to dining facility management.
  • Manages the Meal Request Program to include collecting and providing ground meal, flight meal and special meal program requests to dining facility management.
  • Delivers subsistence, supplies and personnel to the appropriate work areas as required. This may include coordinating reception of subsistence, supplies and personnel at the installation controlled access points, pick-up (loading) and delivery to Expeditionary Force Support Squadron activities or to activities for which the Expeditionary Force Support Squadron provides that service. Performs other duties as assigned.
