The Konterra Group Qatar Job Description

  • Complies with approved budgets, policies and procedures in relation to Group International MM operations.
  • Assists in the implementation of annual business plans for the area of ​​responsibility with emphasis on achievement of set targets / objectives, business growth and expansion in the Group International MM Desk.
  • Implements and evaluates of best practice work methods in the area of ​​responsibility to achieve optimum level of performance efficiency.
  • Builds and maintains strong and effective relationships with all other related units to achieve the Group International MM Desk goals / objectives.
  • Provides timely and accurate information to the external and internal auditor, the Compliance function and Group Risk as and when required.
  • Assists in maintaining relationships with key international entities requiring money market services
  • Performs activities and monitor subordinates in compliance to the department’s policies and procedures for various buy/sell deals in currencies, maintaining/collating MIS related to profitability / revenue, and observing compliance with the applicable approved by the Board / itsd authorities.
  • Monitors/performs trading in various money market instruments such as deposits, loans, short-term securities, forward rate agreements and interest rate swaps in approved currencies and with approved counterparties on the behalf of the Group’s international operations.
  • Ensures compliance to set Money Markets limits for each international entity and recommends any changes to the Head of MM, when required.
  • Follows-up on the timely processing of Group International MM deals in coordination with Treasury Operations.
  • Provides pricing support for subsidiary departments and branches in foreign currency MM products.
  • Monitors gap positions for each subsidiary, and ensure positions are within QCB guidelines.
  • Supervises the production of daily rate sheets.
  • Assists the Head of MM in the provision of MM solutions to meet customers’ and the Group Internationals hedging requirements.
  • Manages the process of preparing daily rate sheets.
  • Monitors and analyze the international markets to be able to trade profitable positions and advise direct subordinate within the delegated authority.
  • Supports in the provision of accurate reporting of P&L figures of all MM activities and revalue outstanding positions to Head of trading on daily, weekly and monthly basis.
  • Is involved in the structuring of MM products, as and when necessary by the Head of Treasury Structured Products and Derivatives, in consultation with Head of Money Markets.
  • Monitors performance of direct reports and guide them in managing their performance by providing appropriate feedback.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Mathematics, or Economics.
  • MBA, CFA, or a related professional certification is a plus.
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in active MM dealing room, preferably in the Gulf.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Arabic (preferable).
  • Good knowledge of a range of MM products.
  • Good MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of the international MM markets and currencies.
  • Understanding of hedging techniques.
  • Analytical and problem solving skills coupled with decision making ability.
  • Understanding of pertinent international and local laws, regulations and practices.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to motivate and lead teams from diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Must be able to work effectively under market pressures whilst maintaining risk control and limit compliance.

The Konterra Group Qatar Job Description

OVERVIEW

The Staff Care and Organizational Resilience (SCR) practice at The KonTerra Group is focused on providing specialized mental health, well-being, and organizational resilience services to organizations around the world. We specialize in supporting clients who operate in high-stress and high-threat environments, where employees face unusual levels of stress and/or exposure to traumatic events. Through its Employee Assistance and Resilience Program (EARP) and Employee Resilience Program (ERP), KonTerra provides short-term counseling, critical incident response, training, and organizational resilience services to approximately 40,000 employees of international humanitarian and development organizations and technology firms across the globe.

The Staff Care and Resilience Clinician is critically important in providing high-quality services to our clients.  This position will be responsible for providing individual counseling, group support, psychoeducation/training session and critical incident response services and reports to the Manager, Clinical Services.  The Staff Care and Resilience Clinician will have a particular focus on providing services in Arabic for clients in the Middle East and North Africa.

  • Deliver high-quality clinical/consultation services to employees and their family members consistent with professional standards within a short-term counseling model. These services may be delivered in-person or virtually
  • Maintain timely, accurate records of clinical activities within the KonTerra case management system
  • Provide reporting, monitoring, and evaluation data on clinical activities.
  • Collaborate with clinical and operations team members for effective service provision.
  • Participate in promotional/outreach activities and psychoeducational presentations to employees and family members
  • Provide critical incident consultation, service coordination, and direct support to impacted individuals
  • Provide case management and referral services for employees who needs extend beyond the scope of short-term consultation/counseling services
  • Fully participate in the activities of the KonTerra Staff Care and Resilience team

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

  • Mental health professional (counselor, social worker, marriage and family therapist, psychologist, etc.) with at least a Master’s degree.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience providing Employee Assistance Program (EAP) or mental health counseling services
  • Demonstrated ability to provide counseling/consultation services using short-term, strength-based approaches to support employees in high stress/high-risk environments
  • Experience providing counseling/consultation services to diverse individuals/couples/families.
  • Experience providing counseling/consultation services remotely /virtually
  • Experience providing case management and referral services for employees who need resources and counseling beyond ERP/EARP services
  • Demonstrated skill in providing engaging in-person and virtual presentations on a variety of topics.
  • Comfort using technology to manage clinical records
  • Ability to provide services in Arabic, in addition to English

Preferred:

  • Significant experience working in developing country contexts and with international populations, including personnel from developing countries
  • Experience or training providing trauma-informed counseling
  • Experience providing substance abuse assessments and referral within a short-term, strength-based consultation model
  • Ability to provide services in French, in addition to English
