To design, maintain, administer and improve the Foundation’s Insurance program.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, analyze and evaluate QF’s existing corporate insurance requirements
  • Implement appropriate Insurance Reporting across the organization, to C-Suite, the Audit Committee and the Board, as required.
  • Provide an advisory service to all business areas on how to minimize exposure to risk while maximizing control efficiency so that QF’s reputation is not affected.
  • Manage engagement with the relevant Insurance committees. Submit recommendations for its approval to the appropriate authority.
  • Ensure appropriate training and skills development for all staff involved in Insurance and provide awareness briefings for all directors and senior management, as required.

  • As required by management, explore all self-insurance options, including captive options, which could result in cost savings for QF

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field & 8-10 years of relevant full-time work experience within Corporate Insurance or related field, 3 of which at a supervisory level
  • Ability to lead and thorough understanding of Insurance programs, techniques and products
  • Control orientated approach.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for reviewing, analyzing, assessing and coordinating the implementation of initiatives and projects while providing support on special projects.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the single point of contact for planning, execution and closure of all projects

  • Contribute to establishing policies, research priorities, and funding activities.

Designing, developing and maintaining an information, education and awareness enhancement program on all the relevant environmental aspects and issues through posters, newsletters, brochures, pamphlets and other material.
Being responsible for the general administrative duties in relation to the Qatar Foundation’s environment set-up as well as the hierarchy of relevant environment delivery systems.

Being responsible for evolving the systems to maintain records and documents in relation to environment systems, and all services rendered and activities taken up by the environment set-up, and all the launched environment programs.
Planning the resources and supplies, following the assessment of needs through technical surveys and other means of evaluation, in relation to all the environmental services and activities.

Job Requirements:

A formally qualified Environment Engineer or a Masters or Bachelor’s degree in environmental science or other natural or physical science;

civil, sanitary, chemical or environmental engineering, or closely related field
A minimum of 15 years professional experience with at least 5years in a similar senior role.
The successful candidate must have excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
Candidates must demonstrate computer literacy with knowledge of and ability to use appropriate industry software.
Position requires strong organizational, planning, budgeting, coordination, negotiating and scheduling skills.
Experience with working in a major organization/ institute supervising the environment systems and services for a large organization.

  • Oversee the development and implementation of CHSS communications sub strategy in line with the overall University Communications strategy
