ACCOUNTABILITIES

To define, co-ordinate / assist to coordinate and oversee the safe development, implementation and execution of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and Corrective Maintenance (CM) activities in close liaison with , Departmental Planners, Contracts and Procurement Department, Warehouse, Campaign/Shutdown Team Leads & Coordinators, Field Operations Inspection department, Maintenance Engineering Department and T1/T2 Maintenance Coordinators.

ACTIVITIES

  • Drive an Incident Free environment through establishing and maintaining a strong safety cultur
  • Responsible for ensuring positive HSE performance by personnel, contractors and others working under the guidance of the Lead Maintenance Coordinator
  • Ensuring compliance with HSE legislation, company standards and procedures under the area of responsibility to ensure employee safety, legislative compliance and responsible environmental attitude
  • Support in providing first level specialist technical advice and guidance to site/offshore personnel on the maintenance of mechanical equipment, root cause analysis and investigations where required involving maintenance coordinators
  • Support in providing technical and administrative support to the site base operations; preparation of scopes of work for short term interventions, organization of vendors, supply direct support to site requests (vendors, spare parts, tooling, technical procedures, work packs and work order resourcing)
  • Support in providing technical and administrative support to campaign and shutdown teams to ensure the overall readiness and execution of scopes in line with campaign shutdown gate criteria process. Work order resourcing
  • Support in managing the repair process for critical equipment, including visits to local vendor workshops and warehouses.
  • Proactive management of all safety and business critical backlog.
  • Support in monitoring the efficiency of the maintenance strategies for the maintenance, inspection and operation of plant/equipment and feedback to Maintenance Engineering.
  • Participate, as appropriate, in vendor/contractual audits.
  • Support in execution of class 2 modifications (vendor based modifications)
  • In collaboration with Maintenance Engineering department support in management of repairs, overhaul and maintenance of all major static equipment.
  • Ensure all certificates on installed equipment produced during overhaul are stored in I-View.
  • Ensure all certificates on spare parts scheduled to be used offshore are recorded in I-View (by logistics) – as required.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency of all activities, improve equipment reliability and reduce operating costs.
  • Act as contract representative with ownership and cost management responsibility for key 3rd party operational support services as required
  • Share and adopt best practices across the company, support and identify opportunities to enhance consistency and alignment between assets, where practicably possible.

CONTEXT AND ENVIRONMENT

Position is in a Joint Venture Operating Company on the Al Shaheen oil and gas field, one of the largest offshore oil and gas field s in the world. The role is onshore based in Doha, Qatar and is a permanent staff position on a residential basis (5 day working week).

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Degree or industry recognized technical qualifications supported by industry experience (offshore and onshore oil and gas facilities).
  • Minimum of 1 – 3 years’ experience working in the oil and gas industry in a similar rol
  • Technical skills in a multi-cultural and highly technical specialized environment
  • Understanding and application of industry process safety guidelines and procedures.
  • Knowledge of mechanical equipment discipline maintenance requirements, Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and planning processes

SENIOR FINANCIAL ANALYST (FOR QATARI NATIONALS) (JOB ID: 3573)

ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Manage and maximize Company’s profitability by developing, implementing and maintaining accurate and reliable financial applications, systems and processes to anticipate, track and communicate Company’s financial performance.

Accountabilities:

•Ensure that all aspects of well design, well placement from early planning, execution, acquisition, receipt and interpretation of the data, for all operated wells (Fields and Exploration), are coherent with the well objectives and that achievements yield value-for-money.

•Ensure that all aspects of Formation Evaluation (FE), from early planning, execution, acquisition, receipt and interpretation of the data, for the wells the job holder is assigned to, delivers the objectives, under the supervision of the Geological Operations Team Leader.

•Acting as a main point of contact internally for selected geological service companies involved in the drilling of wells and ensuring that contracted services are delivered as requested.

•Ensure the consolidation in NOC database and archives of the well related geological interpretations (drilling, coring, logging, testing, production, well abandonment…) for their specified Asset

•Acting as focal point for nominated Geological Service Quality matters with providers. Ensures the adequate introduction of new geological and drilling related technologies or softwares in the Al-Shaheen field to improve well placement and geological interpretation whilst ensuring optimal value data acquisition. Influences the call for tender process and evaluation for nominated geological services as required.

•Responsible for improving the methods and work processes of the team to ensure smooth operations

•Responsible for well planning and follow up to supporting one Asset form Pre-FID to execution and data integration.

•Focal Point for nominated Asset to ensure clear understanding of the needs and practicalities existing and future well plans

•Able to cover the position of Duty Operations Geologist as required

•Able to Ensure the temporary work of Geological Operations Team Leader during absence, including standing in shareholders meetings.

Activities:

       1.HSE

    • Demonstrate personal commitment to the HSE Policy.
    • Maintain awareness of and ensure compliance with all relevant Statutory and Company HSE standards.
    • Actively participate in Company safety awareness and initiative schemes.

2.Well Planning Activities

    • Participate in well planning activities for designated areas in conjunction with the drilling team and R&G people in accordance with Company Rules, Guidelines and Procedures;
    • Prepare and ensure timely production of the Well Statement of Requirements (WSOR) and the detailed data acquisition programmes to ensure optimized well planning.
    • Prepare operational procedures to ensure offshore geological operations best practice
    • Build full understanding of the needs of the assigned assets, uncertainties, model quality etc to support clear decision making and understand the short and long term needs
    • Support FDP and Assets in long term planning of future well batches ensuring robust operational understanding is included.

3.Activity performance, reporting and supervision

    • Ensure contract release orders for relevant services are issued, monitor service quality, conduct technical approval of invoices and compile data acquisition costs.
    • Act as focal point for the Assets during operations to ensure that there are o communication issues and the both the Asset teams and OGP are fully aligned
    • Ensure the follow up of post well interpretations with the relevant assets to ensure that the understanding is passed to the correct teams.
    • Able to step in to cover Operational Geologist position if required.

4.Quality Control, petrophysical & geological Interpretation, final reporting

    • Update geological operations lessons learnt and provide Return on Experience though post well reviews asset follow up etc.
    • Initiate or conduct studies that can bring added value to well interpretation or enhance operational efficiency and monitor and report on progress.
    • Ensure full follow up of the wells into the Asset and remain in the loop on further developments in the understanding of the relevant Asset.

5.State of The Art implementation of operations

  • Justifies technical analysis and recommendations regarding formation evaluation data acquisition, integrates/challenges/synthesizes multidisciplinary requirements into COMPANY documents (WSOR, Geological Programs, Final Geological Report, LCD Report);
  • Train/coaches/mentors junior Operations Geologists, and wellsite geologists;
  • Perform technical audits at the wellsite, attend key HSE and pre-job briefings. Assist with critical operations
  • Positively represent COMPANY with external agencies at senior levels
  • Initiates and conducts diverse studies related to the performance of the team to allow improvement in process, technology etc.

6.Technological benchmark, Service Quality and costs

  • Participates in all Call For tender related to geological and data acquisition activities (mudlogging, coring, Electrical logging, logging while drilling) from scope definition to technical evaluation and recommendation; Ensure optimal cost engineering.
  • Organizes Service Quality meetings with assigned contractors and ensures improvements plan are captured and delivered.
  • Ensures a technical and technological benchmark with Industry, in view of lowering the costs of operations. Reports on NOCs best practices in wide audiences, technological forum and societies.
  • Positively represents COMPANY with external agencies at senior levels

Profile Required

  • Bachelor of Earth Sciences, Physics or Engineering minimum (or equivalent)
  • Good written and spoken English.
  • Independent stand-alone professional with subsurface degree with a typically 10 years relevant experience including office based operational skill base and Asset based modelling skills along with a well rounded geological and petrophysical background;
  • An in-depth knowledge of all aspects of formation evaluation services and their risks, well placement and steering techniques
  • Ability to understand all the elements of a multi-disciplinary team;
  • Management of service companies, commercial and operational relationship
  • A confirmed specialist in operations geology with potential to evolve to another professional discipline, such as geology/petrophysics/reservoir.
