Kintec are currently recruiting an MEP/HVAC Superintendent to work on a long term residential contract – working for an Oil and Gas Operator.

Position Title: MEP/HVAC Superintendent

Job Purpose

o Provides leadership to execute the site activities and provides daily management and oversight of the EPC Contractor and its sub-contractors for their scope of work within the NFXP Project for the MEP/HVAC services in the Process and Non-Process Buildings construction.
o Appraises the performance of the EPC Contractor in terms of safety, quality, and schedule
o Supervises the assigned NFXP EPC Onshore Project’s MEP/HVAC Construction personnel.
o Prepares and provides routine verbal and written progress reports to the Site Manager NFXP

o Reports to Construction Site Manager NFXP

o The Superintendent will be responsible for construction MEP/HVAC activities on the NFXP Onshore Project for the Process and Non process buildings. He will be responsible for safety, quality, and schedule in his area of responsibility and supervise relevant construction personnel.
o Well experienced in extreme weather conditions especially heat related conditions and required to work on site for extended hours at a time to include excessive walking, climbing, and standing.

o Job Purpose:
o The Superintendent shall be experienced in the MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) works and HVAC (heating ventilation Air conditioning) systems.
o Shall have a firm understanding of Ashrae, or CIBSE standards and guidelines
o The MEP/HVAC Superintendent scope of work will cover more than 74 individual buildings and extended hours will be required on site with excessive walking, climbing, and standing
o Shall have experience in an LNG plant of the installation of MEP, HVAC systems within the Process and Non process, Commercial buildings, laboratory, restaurants, mosque, kitchens, explosion proof buildings, fire stations, Data centres, Sub Stations, Instrument houses, main control building.
o Shall have a solid Electrical background in cable containment, switchgear, cabling, dressing, earthing systems, UPS, DC power systems and testing and termination works, for ELV, LV, and HV cabling.
o Familiar with 132KV, 66KV, 33KV Switchgear installation, Substation cabling, dressing, containment installation.
o Experienced with Refrigerant pipe, with refrigerant piping design review, refrigerant installation, brazing, testing, freon leak testing, accessories installation, of site glass, suction line Filter dryers, sensing bulb, capillary piping, and all associated HVAC/refrigerant installation works in all buildings.
o Coordination experience with all MEP, LV Switchgear, HVAC systems within Electrical rooms, Mechanical rooms, and providing end user with an accessible maintainable building.
o Electrical experience in primary & secondary containment installation of Sub Stations, Instrument houses, buried containment systems, raised floor installations, above ceiling installations.
o Experienced with HVAC Duct work fabrication, coatings, insulation, instrument placement, wiring and installation of the various HVAC controls instrumentation
o Familiar with Honeywell, Johnson Controls DDC controller’s

JOB DIMENSIONS
Al Shaheen field development will involve several new projects that would be executed in parallel over the period of 5 years with CAPEX investment of around 3.3 Billion USD. The Phase 2 Project consists of:
” Batch 1 EPCIC1: Three 24 slots WHP Jackets (FC, DC, EG), bridgelinked to existing facilities and with permanent drilling decks. Project Completed
” Batch1 EPCIC2: Three production topsides and bridges for WHP (FC, DC, EG) to process and send production to existing facilities. Topside weight is approx. 2400 MT, Bridge 100m/900MT. Project Completed
” Batch 1 EPCIC 3: 2 pipelines 14 and 20″ between Alpha and F Complex, Offshore execution ongoing
” Batch2 EPCIC 4: Two WellHead Platforms (EH, CE) consisting in jackets + topsides + bridges, planned to be installed in Q3/Q4 2021
” Batch 3 EPCIC 5, 6, 7 & 8: 2 standalone Wellhead Platforms, 1 bridge linked CPP, 10 pipelines and 2 power cables. Offshore execution planned 2023

The Phase 2 Project T&I CSR is responsible for the Jacket, decks and bridges installation which is currently planned to start in September 2021, for 5 to 6 weeks. The T&I CSR will manage all activities concerning the offshore installation, review the JSA’s and procedures, and interface with other stake holders (drilling and Field Operation mainly). During the course of the T&I execution he will manage dedicated teams offshore to cover all the phases of the T&I activities. This will include the Management of Marine Warranty Surveyor’s activities.
He will be based in the Major Projects premises during the preparation phase and will move to Offshore Installation Vessel at start of installation Campaign.
The Job holder reports to the T&I Lead and to the Batch 2 package Lead
ACTIVITIES
” To promote & comply with applicable safety instructions and other CLIENT HSE procedures in all T&I activities,
” To carry out work in compliance with CLIENT values and policies, relevant laws and regulations, agreed CLIENT priorities and objectives, CLIENT standards and procedures and good industry practices,
” To treat all information obtained during course of the work with confidentiality,
” To mobilize, organize and manage the teams required to carry out the work and define authority and responsibilities for each member of Package team,
” To establish and manage a team during T&I activities execution which is highly motivated, skilled and works diligently to meet the Package requirements,
” To establish lean management system in the T&I organization through training, deployment of lean tools and delivery of results,
” To provide Project Management guidance to T&I Contractor to efficiently control his transport and installation activities and ensure proper coordination is made within involved Contractor’s entities (engineering, vendors, quality…) and various subcontractors.
” To keep management regularly and properly informed on T&I Package schedule with forecast for the Project completion through an efficient reporting system,
” To ensure consistence and correct interfacing with other areas during the installation and animate dedicated transverse coordination between packages as required to ensure all requirements for T&I activities are complied with (especially between jacket and topsides package)
” To interface with Field Operations team members in developing SIMOPS and shutdown scope, philosophy and schedule for the site activities with regards to new WHP, decks and bridges installation, including installation barge(s) mooring aspects (to avoid any risk of collision with assets)
” To anticipate the offshore activities and ensure Contractor starts in due time preparation of the critical offshore activities (fleet mobilization, offshore installation…).
” In case of drift in schedule, liaise with other team involved (construction, commissioning) to study remedial actions
” Promote a “no change policy” to meet budget and schedule constraint without impairing quality and safety of the T&I activities.
” To manage the MoC process, in coordination with Contractor, Engineering and T&I Lead
” To ensure EPC contract management with regards to all technical, commercial and contractual issues arising during T&I Offshore execution and liaise with Batch 2 Package Manager and T&I Lead on regular basis on that matters,
” To encourage identification of any optimization / improvement in the design dossier to be implemented in the early stage of concept design,
” To ensure that T&I contractor queries are reviewed and responded to in a timely manner,
” To ensure implementation of the design change process affecting T&I activities,
” To manage potential deviations from the CLIENT referential with the Engineering Manager for final decision on whether or not to implement,
” To attend HAZID/ JSA review sessions with CLIENT, Contractors and vendors teams
” To ensure engineering support to construction and commissioning teams as required,
” To promote alternatives solutions to reduce and to optimise the duration for offshore installation,
” To ensure close coordination within team on all engineering, constructability and operational matters,

ACCOUNTABILITIES

Responsible for the detailed planning, scheduling & reporting of assigned project within the department.

JOB DIMENSIONS

Project scope is to engineer, build and install offshore new process plants and to execute brownfield modifications on the existing facilities. The role will be working with the operator to manage all planning and project analyst functionality with the operator.

ACTIVITIES

Provision of day to day planning support the Project Team to help ensure the successful and timely delivery of all work within assigned project.
Identify and analyze potential delays and propose corrective actions for the Project.
Review and analyze contractors’ projects scheduling and planning documents (procedures, reports, etc.).

” The position is deputized to the Project Manager EPC-1 or by delegation to the Project Division Manager EPC-1B to be responsible and accountable for the Engineering, Procurement Construction and Completion (EPCC) scopes of a specified large area of the PLANT. The position requires proven Project Management skills and experience including experience for similar large and complex Projects.
” First located at the EPC-1 Contractor home offices, for a period of about 18 to 24 months, depending on the area, the position shall then relocate to Site to oversee the execution of the fabrication, construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning activities and then hand-over to Operations Expansion and Support Department in phases [Partial Handover Area 0 x and Handover Area 1 to 4].
” The position will have full delegation from the Project Manager within his / her assigned area, acting as a Project Manager that implies authority towards the Project Management Team, in particular Engineering, Contracts, Schedule, Quality and Information Management, Procurement, Construction Engineering and pre-commissioning/commissioning preparation as well as ensuring that Operations Expansion Department is kept informed and participate to key meetings and decisions.
” The position shall directly interact with its counterpart at EPC-1 Contractor on the premise that both COMPANY and EPC-1 Contractor organizations are “mirroring”.
” The position shall be responsible for all activities related to the COMPANY ITEMS Assignment / Novation Agreements, in particular for Category 1 COMPANY ITEMS that shall be progressed and completed at the end of the Letter of Award period. COMPANY ITEMS are assigned to the Area Division Managers, consistent with the area they are responsible for.
” The position includes a strong coordination and interaction with Head of Contracts or Contracts Specialist, including preparing letters, chairing meetings with EPC-1 Contractor, taking lead for the review, approval and follow-up of the Change Orders within his area.

” Provides visible SHES leadership at EPC-1 Contractor Home Offices, High Value Engineering Centres, Vendors and Subcontractors shops and then at RLIC Site.
