About the Position:

We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Customer Service Assistant – Home Delivery | IKEA | Doha, Qatar. You will assist customer in home delivery section in professional manner. You will also, ensure receipt of cash, cheques or cards from all showroom transactions are properly completed and recorded and that assets are held in safe custody within the company in accord with company procedure.

Key specific accountabilities:

  • Ensure all receipts by way of cash, cheque, or other negotiable instruments are completed according to the company policies, systems and procedures.
  • Handles routine customer complaint promptly and courteously.
  • Briefs the Duty Manager on complaints that require management assistance.
  • Ensuring that customers are dealt with in a prompt and courteous manner to ensure maximum customer satisfaction.
  • All articles are handed out as per the customers’ receipts to ensure accuracy of stocks and customer satisfaction.
  • Provide excellent customer service at all times.
  • Greet all clients at the home delivery front desk in a professional manner.
  • Receive, check, and verify goods from customer against the invoice as per the company policy, system and procedures.
  • Ensures to report to home delivery senior for any stocks irregularities found while verifying the goods.
  • Ensure customer’s home delivery reconfirmation call is carried out a day before the delivery schedule.
  • Ensure customer’s follow up call after the delivery
  • Maintain neat, clean appearance of self and work area.
  • Ensure to follow the home delivery standard operating procedures.
  • Schedule home deliveries and assemblies’ details.
  • Attends to customers’ queries and problems in a professional manner.
  • Maintains files of completed and pending deliveries.
  • Updating PGI reports on a weekly basis and co-ordinate with STS system Errors Maintain all documents/record as required by company systems and procedures.
  • Ensure and maintain adequate stock of printed stationary.
  • Controlling home delivery teams and services after delivery.
  • Maintains files of completed and pending deliveries.

About You
You will secure the replenishment process in sales spaces prior to the store opening by taking advantage of IKEA Goods Flow Concept to strengthen IKEA’s position as the best home furnishing store, and  leads to a commercial presentation of the products.

About the Position
Commercial
• To work with colleagues in other functions in order to drive sales growth and sustained, long-term profitability.
• Co-operation with the Warehouse Group Leader and secure a tight co-operation between Goods receiving and the team that works on replenishment of the Market hall
• Co-operation with the Shopkeepers plan all changes in the commercial areas so that goods movement and replenishment can be optimised

Merchandising 
• To achieve sales space replenishment with flexibility and volume taken into consideration when merchandise to the sales floor from the stockroom using replenishment reports
• To assists in the stocking/merchandising of incoming truck shipment to the sales floor and stockroom
• To make use of product knowledge and article information in performing the replenishment task
• To prevent maintenance of all equipment used in the replenishment process like pallet jacks etc

Customers
•  To Work overnight filling the shelves and prepares the store when customers are not present, which eliminates safety issues for customers such as tripping over empty boxes
•  Making sure that all empty boxes are removed and the area is ready for customers before store opening

Job-Specific Skills: 
•    Ability to spend up to 100% of work time standing or moving about the departments within the store.
•    Must be able to lift heavy weight and bend for long periods
•    Good written and verbal English
•    PC literate
