Facilities Management and Maintenance Company Qatar Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

  • Create or approve HSEQ manual and key HSEQ system procedures.
  • Act as the management representative identified in the Integrated Management System.
  • Perform HSE Inspections and facilitate internal and external HSEQ System Audits.
  • Approve the analysis of all accidents and incidents.
  • Approve the use of hazardous substances and requires opinion from the medical service if needed.
  • Propose to the CEO the annual or periodical HSEQ KPIs.
  • Lead the HSEQ Communication and awareness program delivered through the Communications department and HSEQ team, utilising the “Zero Harm” strategy, health campaigns, risk assessment and method statement as well as HSE tool boxes.
  • Approve the specification of PPEs to are used by employees.
  • Oversee all HSEQ issues within the employee accommodation facility.
  • Work closely with the Security Team in order to ensure that all HSEQ issues are handled in the correct manner, including the reducing of labour accidents.
  • Act as an ambassador and role model for the HSEQ policies and procedures of the company.
  • Represent FMM in the HSEQ topics in front of labour inspection, client, environmental authorities, etc.
  • Lead and participate in the investigation of accidents and severe incidents.
  • Prepare the HSEQ management system review report.
  • Call and leads the periodical HSEQ management meetings.
  • Lead the Third Party HSEQ Audit Process (client, certification bodies, etc.)
  • Prepare and present the HSEQ training program to the CEO, in agreement with the OD & performance management team.
  • Ensure that his subordinate team has the competence, training, tools and equipment required, in order to execute their tasks.
  • Set and then follow the rules and regulations of HSEQ, setting the example for all employees.
  • Facilitates the employees with the necessary competence, training, tools & equipment required for performing their identified roles and responsibilities. Compliance with all company & client policies and statutory regulations relating to Health & Safety, safe working practices hygiene, cleanliness, fire and COSHH and ensuring the staff under him/her are following the requirements.
  • Follow client/company guidelines with regards to the identification and reporting of health and safety hazards.

Qualifications:

  • HSE/ Quality Degree or Certificate.
  • Master’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent; NEBOSH Diploma or similar.
  • Minimum 10 years of job-related job experience.
  • Experience in a Facilities Management company.

Experience & Skills:

Essential

  • High technical knowledge of Occupational Health, Industrial Safety, Environmental Training, Quality Management, Behavioural Safety, Operational Safety (LOTO, Fire Prevention, Confined Spaces, Works at Height, Permit to Work, Ergonomics), Waste Management
  • Excellent command of the English language.
  • Very good knowledge of MS Office, IT literacy.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Time management skills; attention to detail.

Preferred

  • Knowledge of Spanish and/or Arabic would be a plus.

Facilities Management and Maintenance Company Qatar Job Description

The Mechanical Engineer (Maintenance) will always ensure preventive and corrective maintenance are completed and in a good manner. He will help his team by giving direction to the Senior Technical Officers/Technicians and support the improvement efforts of his department to increase the performance. He will monitor proper work handover  and he should have the ability of making technical reports.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the team below him is well performing the job assigned.
  • Train the team on their maintenance task.
  • Ensure the team have the correct knowledge of the assets/installation.
  • Ensure PPM is finished correctly and on time.
  • Ensure corrective task are completed on time.
  • Deal with subcontractor, scheduling the visit and supervising the work assigned to them.
  • Prepare needed documentation and produce permits to work and manage approvals from the authorities
  • Make reports on defects, issues, breakdowns, damages, etc.
  • Follow and prepare the duty roster.
  • Monitor spare parts levels, requirements and availability.
  • Follow all instructions given by the Sr. Engineers and managers.
  • Responsible for special projects as assigned by their Line Manager.
  • Liaise with customer mangers as assigned by their Line Manager.
  • Ask for quotation, issue material request as needed.
  • Must have solid technical knowledge and will be expected for them to find self-learning resources to deal with daily challenges.
  • Comply with the company standards specifically related to personal hygiene, dress code and behaviour.
  • Follow the rules and regulations from the client and from FMM’s HSEQ Management System, which includes attending all training sessions you are invited to and by reading the documents provided to them.
  • Escalate to their line manager any lack of proper equipment or tools for doing the work.
  • Report any accident, incident, near miss or health event at work to their line manager.
  • Develop and produce MS, RA and COSHH.
  • Ensure that all permits required are on place.
  • Ensure his staff have completed the required statutory training for specific tasks.
  • Ensure his staff are aware of the MS/RA.
  • Check the control measures as per the MS/RA are implemented.
  • Report any mistake or observation on MS/RA to HSEQ Department.
  • Ensure the staff has the proper PPE before starting the task.
  • Ensure the staff are using proper machines and tools for the tasks to be done.
  • Comply with the company standards.
  • Cascade the tool boxes talk prepared by HSEQ Department.

Qualification:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineer.

Experience & Skills:

Essential:

  • 10 years of relevant maintenance management experience in compatible facility. 5 years should be within the GCC region.
  • Good knowledge in maintaining Plumbing and Firefighting System.
  • MMUP certification will be an advantage.
