Job Title : Business Development Manager – Freight (Outdoor)

Reporting To : Freight Product Manager

Department : Freight

Job Location : Doha, Qatar

Purpose of the Job:

To achieve substantial financial growth of net new and existing customers by developing relationships and interest in Aramex solutions based on customer requirements.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Generate and develop leads for Freight business in co-ordination with vertical marketing and field marketing activities that will help generate targeted new revenue growth
  • Develop leads and create opportunities within portfolio of assigned geographies through a value-based approach.
  • Manage and grow existing businesses to generate targeted and sustainable revenue (additional regions, additional products).
  • Understand and analyze the big picture of customer’s business objectives in order to build the profile & act as a consultant for customer’s business strategy
  • Translates customer strategy into meaningful opportunities of value for Aramex
  • Present solutions to customers, demonstrating value for business and goal alignment
  • Identify & develop effective relationships with key contacts within targeted customer organizations in respective regions, to ensure maximum leverage for Aramex
  • Work closely with the solutions group to define innovative solutions that provide value to customer’s business operations.
  • Collaborate with account managers to create a seamless customer experience
  • Perform all aspects of the sales process and input & update all customer information utilizing CRM
  • Network with industry peer group & other internal affiliates to roll out best proven practices, as relevant
  • Engages in research for the purpose of expanding personal and company knowledge of industry trends, best practices, marketing and sales

Job Requirements (Experience and Education):

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or any other field
  • Well versed with Qatar Market
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in the country preferably in the Freight Forwarding and Logistics industry
  • This is an outdoor role, so Qatar Driving license is essential.
  • Fluent in English & Arabic. Additional language a plus.

  • Ensure addressing all station emergency cases
  • Make sure all the staff/employee work in a healthy environment
  • To promote Healthy culture within the workforce.
  • Effective stock cost management for all medical supplies
  • Assisting staff with Medical emergency & first aid treatment.
  • Holding meeting with first aiders on a monthly basis
  • Conducting toolbox talks on health-related matters
  • Creating health-related alerts and Campaigns
  • Facilitate the flow of information horizontally and vertically
  • Carry out daily health and hygiene inspections of Canteen and pantries.
  • Inspecting first aid contents and replenishing as per the requirement
  • Maintaining the stock of first aid contents and distributing to all other branches
  • Recording all accidents on SharePoint within 24 hours to ensure those with 3 days or more absence cases are reported to the Ministry of Labor via HR team.
  • Investigating the injuries in the workplace and remedial action plans are communicated to departments to avert recurrence.
  • Assigning appropriate cases online for rectification of the hygienic observations.
  • Maintaining first aid register to ensure legal requirements.
  • Ensuring the temperatures are maintained in the refrigerator where food providers store the cooked food.
  • Managing IR cost-effectively, maintain stock of first aid items
